Lincoln Center / Signage, Wayfinding, Brand, & Graphic Design

Role: Senior Designer

2x4's rebrand of Lincoln Center updated the Center's identity while creating a common, neutral thread between the many disparate venues and constituents that compose Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts. This identity extends from a comprehensive campus wayfinding system, to large-scale environmental graphics, to donor recognition signage, to code-required room signage behind the scenes. 2x4 worked closely with architects Diller, Scofidio + Renfro to create an identity and wayfinding system throughout the campus that pays homage to the architecture by working in a materially specific manner with the distinctive architectural palette. The signage scheme is conceived of as being integral to the architecture and materials, rather than being applied to them.
